Two Thousand-Nine has taken everyone for a wild ride. The economy has come to a halt, jobs are evaporating, there are wars and rumors of wars, nuclear powers are being added to the list, global warming may or may not be a factor, cancer and even the flu are threats. Add to these all the “what ifs” of a “normal” life and anxiety could grip the strongest of us. Fear is seldom our friend. In the face of everything, Jesus calmly tells us to “Fear not!” while we watch him sleep in the bow of a storm tossed boat. How did he do that? Let’s investigate how to plug the leaks in our fear tossed hearts and live fearlessly.
